Can i update my jailbroken and unlocked iPhone with applications throught iTunes?

Q. I have a first generation iPhone 1.1.4 and usually install my applications with Installer. I use Tmobile, and I was wondering if i can put applications on my iPhone through iTunes without it locking?

A. the answer is no, to install from the app store you need at least version 2.0, which is a full upgrade, your phone will relock. The good news is, there is unlock for first gen 2.0 to 2.2 software. You will be able to upgrade, unlock, use the appstore and cydia (no one uses installer anymore, just cydia now). Google pwnage, this help you upgrade, unlock and install cydia. Google PWNAGE

How is the iPod Touch different from the iPhone?
Q. Other than the iPod Touch not being a phone, what differences are there between it and the iPhone?
1. Are all the same apps available?
2. Do you need some kind of Internet plan to use the iPod Touch with? What kind of plan and how much does it cost?

A. They are the same technical machine, except the iPhone has a phone. Due to this fact the Touch is generally thinner as it doesn't need all the extra phone hardware inside.

They can run the same apps - the Touch can only connect to the internet through a wi-fi connection. So you will need an internet connection already for it to connect through. (Unless you can sign up to wi-fi hotspot services in your area)

What kind of applications can we build for iPhone?
Q. I have come to know that there are 2 categories of applications for iPhone:
1. Native Application
2. Web Application
I like to see live examples of both of them.

A. You can refer to the iPhone dev site at dev.apple.com
