Any way to get better cell reception?
Q. So pretty much I live in a kind of rural area and I only get cell phone service in my bedroom on the top floor. Is there anyway I can make a homemade kindof antenna for my iPhone 3GS for better reception, or better tips?

A. Hi

The only positive way of enhancing the reception in your area is by installing a cell phone signal booster. People claim to have various home-made and cheap options like stickers, etc., but none of them are known to work. The best option for you is to choose one of the cell phone boosters based on your requirements. That ways you will not have to worry about poor reception ever in future. Even if you change your service providers, your booster will still work with the new provider as well.

Based on my personal experience, if you are looking to boost signal in your home/office, then Wilson 841262 is a good option. Currently, it costs about $375 on Amazon (cheapest) and is good for your entire house. Here is the link -

However, if you want to go a bit lower, zBoost YX545 is another very good option. It costs about $200 currently. But it is good for 1-2 rooms in your home (not entire house).
