How do you unlock an Iphone 4g?

Q. I just bought a used iphone 4g on ebay and it looks perfectly fine, came with all the accessories, and turns on ect, ect...Only problem is its locked, is there anyway to unlock it manually?

A. It's already been said, but it's the iPhone 4 - if you're searching for stuff and using the wrong name it's going to be harder to find what you actually want.

A. That probably means that some wire has come loose.
