Q. I've had virgin mobile for about 3 years, and love how much money I save, (about 50 bucks a month), but the service is HORRIBLE. The internet is almost too slow to do anything, and that's even if I can get it to work in the worst place (I usually have to turn airport on, then turn it off, and disconnect the wifi to get it to work, i don't know if it's the phones I've had, or Virgin mobile.)

A. It's probably Virgin Mobile's fault for the lame internet. I used to own a portable wi-fi hotspot through them, and it hardly ever worked. I don't have experience with an iPhone through them, but I can say that having an iPhone through AT&T or Verizon would probably be the best choice.

A. Those rumors are unlikely to be true. If T-Mobile was getting an iPhone, they'd have gotten it when the 5 launched, since by now most people have already signed 2 year contracts for their phone and won't be switching. T-Mobile MIGHT get the next iPhone though.
If they did get official iPhone support, the only change would be that people using unlocked iPhones would have to switch to an iPhone data plan, just like newcomers. Apple sells unlocked iPhones, so there is no way they'd let T-Mobile prevent you from using them.

Q. On the website it wants me to buy an iphone for $550. Could I buy a virgin mobile iphone lets say on ebay and then go online and activate it that way so it'll be cheaper?
A. Yes but you got to be careful when you buy used Virgin Mobile cell phones (like the iphones) on ebay. Most of the items people sell are bad cell phones that are stolen and so when you activate that cell phone on virgin mobile they will tell you that they can't activate it. Make sure before you buy any cell phone from a seller to get the ESN number or IMEI number. The IMEI number is found behind the battery on every Virgin Mobile cell phone. Then contact Virgin Mobile and tell them you need to check the status of IEMI number or ESN number. Virgin Mobile will tell you if it is a good ESN number or bad ESN number. A bad ESN number means that Virgin Mobile will not activate that cell phone ever again because it was stolen or something was wrong with the account of the previous owner tied to that cell phone. If Virgin Mobile says it is a Good ESN number then yes you can activate that cell phone.
