Would it be better to just by a new phone or what?

How much does it cost to buy an iphone 3gs when opening a new line?

Q. How much would it cost? My mom got an iphone 4 and i kinda want an iphone 3gs. She has three lines so she can open one for me. But how much would it cost when opening a new line? Do you still need to pay full price?
