How much is it to cancel a sprint iPhone contract?
Q. How much is it to cancel a sprint iPhone 4s contract?
And would I be able to keep the phone?

A. It was $375 minus $15 per month spent on contract (e.g., you get new phone April 2009, it's 375-180 = 195 in April 2010).

You pay the contract for the length of the term, or you pay the cancellation fee; either way, the phone is paid for once you've closed the contract.

Is the iPhone's contract with at&t up after the year and available to other phone providers?
Q. I heard that the iPhone contract with at&t is up after this year. That the iPhone will be available to other phone servicers. I haven't seen any news about this and feel it is not true.Any help?

A. While I was working for AT&T we were told that the contract wouldn't be up intil 2011 or 12, but I have never heard it being up after this year. The iPhone is available for T-Mobile but you do have to unlock it of course (which isn't hard at all), but one thing you have to remember is that the iphone is GSM, so it's only compatible with networks that are GSM and use sim cards. Any other service like Sprint or Verizon won't work for the iPhone because it is CDMA and doesn't use sim cards to provide service, so even after the contract is up, the iPhone will still most likely be limited to certain carriers unless they make a completely new iPhone that is compatible with CDMA networks.
