Q. in the middle of the screen it has a symbol and under the symbol its says this accesory is unsupported. is this because its the new 4th Gen?
A. If it's a 4th gen nano, it will only support iPod charging accessories that meet certain criteria. When I upgraded from my 1st gen to my 2nd gen touch, the wall charger i was using was no longer supported. Look for products that support the iPod nano 4G, ipod touch 2G, iPod classic 120GB and iPhone 3G. If something says works with iPhone, it should work with your nano.

If it helps, I'm now using budget Logitech PureFi speakers (PureFi Express Plus) and they work perfectly. Try a big brand FM transmitter, and look for the symbol 'Works with iPhone'.

If you want to go to a store in person, my first choice would be an AT&T store, or if you have Verizon, a Verizon store. You can always go to www.apple.com to buy anything you can think of under the sun possible for iPods. Sometimes Amazon.com has some decent deals, and if you have a way to buy online, then it's definitely worth checking into amazon. I've never had a bad experience from buying through amazon.com. There are also stores like Radio Shack that have accessories for iPods also. Remember, you can swap iPod, iPhone, and iPad accessories. So if you see headphones labeled for an iPhone, they'll work with your iPod as well!

Help with iPhone 4 screen not responding?
Q. my iphone 4 screen is not responding when i touch it. its like its not reading my finger it either freezes or does nothing i have tried holding the top button and square button to reset it but this does not work. i also keep getting a message saying this accesory is not optimized for this phone - yet i have nothing attached to the phone.
does anyone know how i can fix this problem

A. Sounds like it needs a trip to the Apple Store. They're usually pretty good at fixing things there. They gave my sister a brand new phone when this happened to her 3GS!
