How to Get the iPhone 3Gs Without the Contract at Regular Price?

Q. Is there any way I can get the iPhone 3Gs for the regular price $199 without contract? Can I just go to the Apple store and buy the iPhone 3Gs and not activate it?

A. apple.com com says "For those who are not eligible for an early upgrade or who wish to buy iPhone as a gift, the prices are $499 (8GB), $599 (16GB), or $699 (32GB)." these are the regular prices. the $199 is for new customers because the website also says "Existing AT&T customers who want to upgrade from another phone or replace an iPhone 3G should check with AT&T or use www.apple.com/iphone/buy to find out if they are eligible for early upgrade pricing: $299 (8GB), $399 (16GB), or $499 (32GB) with a new two-year contract." gotta hate that!

try ebay or craig's list but dont bother trying to get it straight from apple or at&t

Where can I purchase the iPhone 3GS in white?
Q. As advertised, the iPhone 3GS' price has now been lowered to $49. On the AT&T website and in store, it only shows it available in black. Is there any legitimate reseller (not eBay or Amazon) that still sells the white version? Any help would be appreciated.

A. Not sure about legitimate but I have seen the replacement back covers available in white? (E-Bay)
More or less covers the whole thing really.

Good luck with it

How much does the iPhone 3gs 16gb cost without a new contract?
Q. I have a phone, but it doesn't work very well. I'm looking into the iPhone 3GS 16GB, but the only prices I can find online include a contract. How much do they cost total?

A. I just picked up a white used 3gs for $350. Buying a new one will run you about $599. Wait a few weeks for iPhone 4 to come out if you wanna buy a new one.
