what product is good to make my iphones battery last longer?

Q. ive looked at the Griffin PowerBlock, and another one thats like $80! but was supposedly really good. But i just got the iphone 3GS and i didnt "kill the battery" the first time i got it, (is that event true? like you have to kill the battery inorder to have a longer battery life?) ...

anyways, which product/tips to you recommend, for my iphones battery life to last longer?

A. Charge it exclusively through a USB port on your computer. It will do a 'deep cycle charge' often that a 120V 60Hz wall outlet will not. Yes, killing the battery and charging it fully works with some cell phone batteries like Nickel Cadmium, But the technology of Lithium ion batteries has gotten pretty sophisticated recently.

Conserving iPhone battery: What's worse, charging your phone when it's not low battery?
Q. Or leaving it plugged in after it's fully charged overnight? I am trying to conserve my iPhone battery but I can't go on with like 40% the next day

Thanks in advance!

A. Depends on the battery and phone.

For example: If your phone uses a lithium-ion battery and the phone is fully charged, the charger will discontinue the charge and only engage when needed. In fact, most cell phones today have this feature.

To help conserve your battery, do not to let it sit undercharged for too long. The reason is, when a battery sits undercharged for a length time the will battery eventually self-discharge (die) and this is much worse than using the phone until the battery is fully discharged (dead). Also, constantly using your phone until the battery is discharged with shorten the life span.

So...

Try to keep your phone with decent charge as much as possible (about 40%). So if you are at the Mall for example and you see your battery is very low, find an outlet and let it charge for a bit. When you go to bed, plug it in. Remember, try your best not let the phone stay undercharged for any length of period so it does not self-discharge when not in use.

Lastly, avoid extreme temperatures. Like leaving your phone in a hot car (windows rolled up in the hot sun) for an extended period or in freezing conditions (exposed) for extended period. If you are in the freezing temperatures, keep the phone near your body under your jacket.

Is iphone portable charger really good? Is it harmful to the iphone or the battery in the long run?
Q. 1. Is iphone portable charger really good? Is it harmful to the iphone or the battery in the long run? 2.
if i get a 1000mah and it won't charge fully, is it bad for my iphone battery in the long run?

A. Your question really consists of about 4.

1. Is there such thing as Dirty DC power? NO! :)
AC Power is a sinewave, positive and negative on the same wire.
DC Power is either on or off, and positive gets it's own wire.
Because of this, there is no thing as "dirty" dc Power.
That whole idea applies to the sinewave in AC power.
DC power is at a voltage, and amperage, and either on or off.
That is all, very simple.

2. Is this DC Power Charger any good?
Battery chargers flip AC power from the wall, to DC power to give to your phone.
Therefore, your battery charger insulates your iphone from the power grid.
As long as it makes the right voltage, and doesn't exceed the amperage, that is all they do.
Your local power grid has more affect on the power going into your phone (actual line voltage) than do most chargers on the market. None of them are able to adjust for say an 80 volt line input. However, the phone protects against that type of thing on it's own. Choose one that is UL listed and you are good enough...

3. Does my Iphone battery show memory characteristics?
Yes, but it takes time to burn in. To avoid a memory issue, simply discharge your phone, COMPLETELY (aka under 10% left in the tank) once a month, and then fully recharge it. This process will erase the memory aspect. Once your battery loses the ability to run very long, even all the way down, you know it's dead...

4. How do I best care for my Iphone battery? That depends :)
Keep it charged if you are on the run. Running your battery all the way down reduces the total number of times you can recharge the phone.
If you only use it around the house, only discharge it 50%, it lasts 3x longer because the chemicals don't have to work as hard at the edges of the spectrum.

Remember to deep discharge routinely (at least monthly) to avoid battery memory.
Do keep it charged.
Don't leave it on the charger to cook for weeks at a time.
