What is so good about an Otterbox compared to less covering cases?

Q. I'm trying to decide if I should get an Otterbox case for my iphone, which is uglier and bulkier, or a normal cute case for my iphone that only covers the back and sides, but is cuter.
Is the iphone at much more of a risk of cracking when dropped if I don't get the Otterbox case?

A. Get a speck case. Best cases. If you don't want to buy it from the manufacturer, get it on Ebay, because the price is cheaper on different websites like Ebay and Amazon.

How can i replace an iPhone screen?
Q. Dropped an iphone without a cover, what is a cheap reliable way to get it replaced? From Where and how much would it cost?

A. Depends on where you are. There's a place near me that will replace the screen with certified Apple parts and a warranty for $120. Craigslist is a good place to look for people who can replace screens, but be careful who you go to. Get your screen replaced somewhere that has a brick and mortar store (not someone who drives to you). Stores are more likely to stand behind their work and offer compensation if something goes wrong.

Cheaper to get iPhone fixed at the apple store or sending it in?
Q. My iPhone 4 is broken and it is a hardware issue. I called apple support and they told me to go to an apple store to get it fixed, but the closest apple store is a 4 hour drive from me. They also suggested sending my phone in to them, but it will take 5-7 days. Is there a price difference between getting it fixed at the apple store or by sending it in?
So it isn't worth going to the apple store? How much will a refurbished one cost?

A. The price is probably the same. They won't "fix" the phone at the Apple store anyway, they will send it out.

What the Apple store will offer you is a refurbished iPhone 4, which will either be free or have a cost depending on the warranty status. If you got it wet or broke the screen those won't be covered by warranty. Your only option will be to purchase a refurbished one, or upgrade to an iPhone4S, which will cost more.
