How do I get rid of the black on the sides of my iPhone video?

Q. Well I shot two iPhone videos and uploaded them to youtube but they both are very thin and have a black barrier surrounding both sides from it. I have an iPhone 4, I was wondering how to get rid of this?

A. The "black bars" are filling in where there is no video data

The aspect ratio of your iPhone is different than that of the standard YouTube format.

There is nothing you can do really but to maybe shoot video with your camera in the "landscape" mode (horizontal)
