My Iphone 3g touch screen glass broke in an accident. Any ideas how i can get it replaced?

A. As stated before, the broken glass of the screen is not covered by your warranty so there arent many options. The best option is to make an appointment at an apple store and have them replace it. For an 8 gig it will be $199 + tax and for a 16 gig it will be $299 + tax. They dont actually repair it though. They replace the entire phone.

The benefits of doing it this way is that you will still have a warranty on your phone. If anyone other than apple or an apple approved repair center repairs, it, you have no more warranty.

What's a good excuse for a hairline crack on an iphone 3g to convince Apple Genius bar to replace it for free?

A. Sorry, but accidents are certainly not covered in warranty :(

i believe u cant replace it for free, as i know they'll collect a $100 for screen replacement !

Q. I just bought the brand new 32GB iPhone 3G S and I would really rather not damage it any time soon.

I've heard that the best types of cover to buy is either the silicon covers or the rubber covers. Is this true?

A. i personally like the hard plastic ones because they are easy to slip in and out of your pocket, i dont like the silicon ones because they get stuck in my pocket and its hard to put them in, and also they collect dust and its hard to get the dust off once it is on
